Visionary studio

A seat forthe ideasno one invited.

13chair builds projects that can change the world — and publishes how they were made, from the first prototype to launch.

01Manifesto

Most tables are full before the meeting starts. Budgets are allocated, roadmaps written, safe bets seated.

The ideas that could actually change something arrive late and find nowhere to sit.

We keep a chair for them.

One idea at a time, we make it real and put it in front of people. Not a pitch deck. Not a promise. A working thing — and an honest account of how it was built.

  • Build first.

An idea proves itself by working, not by being described.

  • Publish the work.

Results, methods, mistakes. What we learn belongs to whoever comes next.

  • Measure by change.

Not by attention, not by headcount. By what is different once the project exists.

02Projects

In the workshop

We name a project when it can stand on its own. Until then it gets a seat at the table and nothing more.

03Approach

How a project moves through the studio

  1. 01

    Choose

We take on problems that matter more than they pay, and ask honestly whether we are the right people to solve them.

  2. 02

    Build

Small team, short loops, real prototypes. An idea has to survive contact with reality before it earns a name.

  3. 03

    Publish

We release the work together with the reasoning: what held up, what broke, what we would do differently.

  4. 04

    Let go

A project is finished when it lives without us. Then the chair is free again.

04Journal

Notes from the work

Field notes on building and publishing: decisions, dead ends, and what held up. The first entries are being written.
